Volynt Aero was formed by accomplished founders in the UAS and eVTOL industry to address needs in contested logistics and emergency and disaster response: critical logistics which require highly-trained, rare pilots and crew; frontline and emergency power which is heavy and hard to transport in rough terrain; and communications at the edge which are hindered by terrain, threats, lack of resources.

To de-risk contested logistics and provide resilient, highly mobile power to the tactical edge, Volynt Aero is developing the Vyper hybrid-electric unmanned aircraft. Designed for dull, dirty, dangerous, and distant missions, the Vyper is a remote-operated and autonomous aircraft that can transport 500 lbs. of cargo up to 150 NM. It can also land and provide 110, 240, or 480 VAC plug-in power on the ground for equipment or tactical microgrids. It does all this while leveraging a hybrid powerplant, refueling off standard JP-8 or Jet A to remission quickly and to be deployable without the need to set up high voltage charging networks.
